Remembering Dr. Mary Bartlett Bunge
We regretfully inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague Dr. Mary Bartlett Bunge who died February 17, 2024. Dr. Bunge was a dedicated scientist and an important member of our academic community. Dr. Bunge was the ASIA 2001 Sell lecturer, presenting for her husband Dr. Richard Bunge who had passed shortly before he could present the lecture. In 2018, Drs. Mary and Richard Bunge were awarded the ASIA Lifetime Achievement Award.

2024 Vogel Award – Call for Nominations!
The Vogel Award is given annually for the best paper by a clinician or researcher involved in Pediatric SCI Rehabilitation in the preceding calendar year. The award honors Lawrence C. Vogel, MD, a recognized world expert on SCI in children. For the past 30 years, Dr. Vogel served as Medical Director of the SCI Program at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago. 2024 Apple Award
The ASIA Awards Committee requests nominations for the 2024 Apple Award. The Apple Award for excellence in publishing in spinal cord injury rehabilitation literature is presented annually during the ASIA annual scientific meeting in recognition of the best-published paper by a clinician or researcher in the preceding calendar year. Nominations will be accepted from the field for articles that address clinical or basic science research in spinal cord medicine. Submission Deadline: February 12, 2024
