The international SCI community has lost a scholar, researcher, and friend. Dr Hans Frankel OBE MB FRCP, passed away in his sleep on 27 November. Dr. Frankel was best known as the person who developed the Frankel scale (the forerunner of the ASIA Impairment Scale). Hans Frankel was a Past President of ISCoS and very involved in the SCI international community. His contributions to the field of SCI were great. Dr. Hans Frankel will be missed.
