Member in Good Standing Policy: A Member in good standing affirms the Member’s commitment to the vision of ASIA. It is anticipated that a Member in good standing sets an example for best professional practice in the area of spinal cord injury care and/or research, and who has remained current on Organizations dues. Members in good standing are expected to work collaboratively to strengthen the Organization and not engage in activities that put ASIA in financial or structural jeopardy, nor engage in activities that will bring discredit to the Organization.
Privacy Policy: Read here for the ASIA update Privacy Policy and terms of use.
Committee Intellectual Property Policy: This policy defines ownership, distribution, and commercialization of rights associated with Intellectual Property developed for the American Spinal Injury Association.
Conflict of Interest & Confidentiality Policy: Committee service within the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) often requires committee members to review articles, documents, and proposals, and recommend individuals in the field of spinal cord injury for awards or recognition. The best interests of ASIA, its membership, and the field of spinal cord injury (SCI) are served when the evaluation processes are objective, unbiased, and confidential. They are further best served when committee information remains confidential permanently and committee judgments remain confidential until deliberations are completed and formally announced by authorized individuals within the organization.
