
Dr. Laura Krisa is a Professor in the College of Rehabilitation Sciences and the Center for Outcomes and Measurement at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She holds joint appointments in the Departments of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Dr. Krisa is an active member of ASIA and serves on several committees, including Programs, Research, and Communications. Her research focuses on neuroimaging, spinal cord injury, and translational neuroscience. Dr. Krisa earned her BS in Biology from Millersville University and her PhD in Neuroscience from Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training in clinical research at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Her current research involves the use of functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) as potential biomarkers in individuals with spinal cord injury.
