Steel Conference Presenter Notes


Course Presenters:
I. Please bring a thumb drive preloaded with -ALL- presenter PowerPoint slides for your course. You may preload your PP slides during a break or the morning before your session… or, connect your own device directly to the presentation system.  (please test connections ahead of time)

General Session Presenters:
II. Please bring a thumb drive preloaded with your PowerPoint slides for your oral presentation. You will be able to preload your PP slides during a break or the morning before your session… or, connect your own device directly to the presentation system.  (please test connections ahead of time)

Disclosure Slides:
Each Course and General Session presenter should include a Disclosure Slide (s) at the beginning of their PP presentation.

    or:
    Presenter Relationships:
      – Grant/research support form: (company name)
      – Speaker’s Bureau: (company name)
      – Advisory Board: (company name)

Poster Presenters:
There will be two poster sessions during the Steel conference. Presenters should stand beside your poster during both sessions to discuss your work and answer questions.

Poster Session 1:
Thursday, Dec. 3, 10:45 – 11:15 am

Poster Session 2:
Friday, Friday, Dec. 4, 11:10 – 11:40 am

Set-Up: Wednesday, Dec. 2,  3:30 – 5:30 pm
Removal: Friday, Dec. 4, immediately following Poster Session 2 (No later than 1:30 pm!)

Poster Boards:
The poster board is 4 feet high (vertical) x 8 feet wide (horizontal) and your poster must not exceed those dimensions.

  • Include the title of your abstract.
  • Include the names of authors and the name and location of the institution.
  • Underline the name of the presenting author.

Poster presenters should create a visually engaging, and readable poster that summarizes research findings.  All material should be sized so it can be read from a distance of 3 feet.  Material should be neatly and legibly prepared; illustrative data should be similar in quality to that used in making slides.
