Jim Hamer is the Director, SCI Program at DP Clinical, Inc., a full-service Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in SCI clinical trials. Jim has over 29 years of SCI research and clinical trial experience working with biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Jim has managed numerous acute, sub-acute as well as chronic SCI clinical trials with pharmaceuticals, autologous macrophages, the first in human stem cell trials as well as device studies. Jim has been a longtime member of ASIA and is currently on the Autonomic Standards Committee. Jim has presented on SCI clinical trials at several conferences and is on the Board of Unite2FightParalysis. Jim understands the challenges of conducting SCI clinical trials and with his strong SCI knowledge, much of it learned from KOLs in the SCI field, he provides potential clients with input on study design and assessments for their clinical trials. Jim is hopeful that one day soon, he will witness a curative therapy approved for this debilitating injury.
