Prevention Committee
Thank you to all who served on the 2018-2019 ASIA Prevention Committee!
We just hosted an incredible Prevention Symposium on Falls Prevention at the Annual Conference in Hawaii. This was almost a year-long effort lead by our previous Chair Shari McDowell and Board Liaison Dr. Mark Nash. The three guest speakers were outstanding and very well received. Thank you to all who helped coordinate this event.
Recently, Stephanie Kolakowsky-Hayner and Katie Gant have assumed the role of Co-Chairs of the 2019-2020 Committee and we are looking to expand our efforts.
We expediently provided ASIA representation to the American Congress of Surgeons Committee on Trauma's Medical Firearm Summit and both as a committee and Board, were able to review and endorse the proceedings unanimously; joining over 50 other organizations in this groundbreaking prevention effort.
